It’s risky, though, because that means you won’t be holding a shield. Holding a weapon with two hands causes more damage (or buildup) to the Super Armor meter. When that (invisible) meter fills, your enemy falls to their knees, and you have the opportunity to attack and even backstab. Super Armor is like an invisible meter that builds up when you hit an enemy. You won’t see this stat anywhere because it’s working in the background. Now Margit has three enemies to contend with. Immediately use the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes. Walk through the mist and into the boss fight. The way this plays out is simple and repeatable. You equip it in your pouch, just like your flasks. After a few dialogue prompts, she’ll give you this gift. If you don’t have those, go to the Stormhill Shack, and speak to the woman sitting there. Assume that every direct hit you take from Margit removes half of your health. But you saved yourself the huge HP hit.Īs a general rule, if your HP is at about 50%, take a drink from your Flask of Crimson Tears. You may be rocked, watching an animation of your shield flying over your head. Given that Margit’s incredibly powerful attacks can obliterate half or more of your health in one hit, having a shield that absorbs the damage is ideal. (Yes, it’s more complicated than this, because you have to factor in your armor and other defenses, but the principle stands: Physical 100.0 means no damage under ideal circumstances.) However, if you used a shield with, say, 50 Physical damage negation, you’d take 500 Physical damage. Think of it this way: If an attack from a sword caused 1,000 physical damage, and you blocked it successfully with the Beast Crest Heater Shield, then you take no HP damage. If you’ve got enough stamina and poise to absorb a physical blow, you won’t take any HP damage from it. It’s a little more complicated than that, but not much.
